Main Piece for Love Project Summer 2010

The above images are of my final piece in my 'Love' project.

Prep of Love Project Summer 2010

The above three images are all the same, just using different materials to finish the pictures. For the top picture I have simply painted over the photocopied original using colours which are often associated with love. The middle image is original picture and the bottom image is my own free hand version also painted using colours whichcan symbolise love.

On this drawing I have attempted to write love in many differnet languages. Ending with the word in English.

Love Project Summer 2010

I used carbon paper to copy a picture of a rose. The bottom rose has been painted using brusho inks. For the middle one I used pencil shading to contrast with the other two coloured roses. Finally for the top rose I used light and dark green oil pastels. By using three different materials I have shown contrasting techniques.
I used magazines to find many different styles of the letters used in the word 'Love'. It may not be very imagnative but clearly shows the main theme to my project.

The clear plastic covering used for projecting images onto a wall has become a textured picture. By putting this on my prep board along with the original writing shows contrast in textures and materials.

Urban

These vehicles have been created using pastels and then for the detail i have used a simple biro pen.

The finished product: if i had had more time on the clay character i would have worked more into Daffy's beak as it had started to crack where the clay had dried out.

Clay work

For my clay work i decided to interpretate this cartoon of Daffy Duck! To make it original i changed his happy friendly face into a cruel evil portrait of this character. Or at least tried to.

This painting didnt quite go to plan! It is supposed to be a beach scene with rushes in the foreground. Instead it is a VERY abstract blur of colours.
