Urban

These vehicles have been created using pastels and then for the detail i have used a simple biro pen.

The finished product: if i had had more time on the clay character i would have worked more into Daffy's beak as it had started to crack where the clay had dried out.

Clay work

For my clay work i decided to interpretate this cartoon of Daffy Duck! To make it original i changed his happy friendly face into a cruel evil portrait of this character. Or at least tried to.

This painting didnt quite go to plan! It is supposed to be a beach scene with rushes in the foreground. Instead it is a VERY abstract blur of colours.

After experimenting with the use of block paints we went abstract as can be seen here. The image is of the yorkshire moors with a large lake infront of them. To create these images we used brushos and ink.

These images are of another cliff with a high tide in the foreground. By using a white block colour i have tried to create the waves smashing against the side of the cliff.

Landscapes

In class we have been painting landscapes using block colour paints. This painting is of a clay rock face, I attempted to add texture the the cliff by using subtle differences in the colour of the paint. Towards the bottom right hand corner you can see a rock pool with the sea above it.

This image is the original of which I distrorted and added effects to to create another image(see further down page).

This image shows how Leeds as a city is always expanding , shown by the several cranes in the background. I really like the contrast between the neon green and the realistic blue sky!
This is another photo of a building in leeds city centre. I have not used any distorting effects on this picture for some variation. The colours in the photo are very bright and contrasting.

I like this image which has also been taken in leeds. I have used a lighting effect to illuminate the image. Also there has been a spiral effect added again from the middle of the photo.

Leeds City Centre

This image was taken just outside leeds city centre, I have changed the picture using 'paint shop pro' , It has a pixelated affect starting from the centre of the image.
